Theatre Battery Presents a Battery Powered New Works Reading:

One of the Good Ones by Melina Cohen-Bramwell
Tuesday, July 26th @ 7pm

In a post-post-racial wasteland, how do we navigate the inevitable clash of black and white? Ronda Diane, the world’s leading white expert on racism has the answer, she’s happy to sell it, and the world is buying. But mixed-race person, Cameron Grauman, disagrees. What chaos will ensue when Cameron dares to ask why can’t we all just get along?

Content Warnings: racism, violence, hostile workplace interactions, PTSD.

Running Time: 90 minutes, with intermission

Location: Theatre Battery's Adapted stage at Kent Station: 444 Ramsay Way, Suite 107, Kent, WA 98032 (Next to Gentle Dental and a few doors down from Panera Bread)

Please note: We will be operating as a fully-vaccinated company and requiring proof of Covid-19 vaccination for entrance to our spaces. We will be asking audience members to mask.

Melina Cohen-Bramwell is a 27-year-old, mixed-race, gender-queer writer and lifelong San Francisco Bay Area resident. Never a fan of the education system, at age 16 Melina dropped out of school and began a years-long career in theater. After working as a technician at a variety of regional theater companies Melina “retired” to focus on healing from chronic illness and writing full-time. Melina is extremely grateful for this opportunity, and for all others the gift of language has offered.
