Theatre Battery is proud to present the return of SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK, performing on August 1st, 2026 at 8pm with Free Admission for all audiences.

On the evening of July 31st, local playwrights, directors, actors, and musicians will gather in our space for the first time. They will be put into groups with the other artists, given bespoke collaborative challenges, and a timeline of 24-hours to create a new piece for public performance. Now in its eigth interation since starting at Theatre Battery in 2013, SLEEP IS FOR THE WEAK expresses our community with a totally in-the-moment collection of sleep-deprived creations.

In partnership with local businesses, non-profits, and community leadership, Theatre Battery tasks local artists to create socially testing and unapologetic work that ignites the community.
